Repeat Prescriptions

To order a Repeat Prescription

We will no longer be accepting prescription requests via email or telephone.

The easiest ways to order repeat prescriptions are:

  • using your NHS account (through the NHS website or in the NHS App)
  • using our online services platforms ‘SystmOnline’ or ‘Airmid’ (get your log in details from the reception team)

You can also:

  • complete the right-hand section of your previous prescription form and drop this into the letter box on the outside of the surgery
  • send us your request in the post
  • We can also post your prescription to you if you provide us with a stamped, addressed envelope

Please allow two working days (48 working hours, do not include Saturday or Sunday as they are non-working days) for your request to be processed.

Electronic Prescriptions Service (EPS)

Prescriptions are sent electronically through our secure Electronic Prescribing Service (EPS).

What does this mean for you?

If you collect your repeat prescriptions from your GP you will not have to visit your GP practice to pick up your paper prescription. Instead, your GP will send it electronically to the place you choose, saving you time.

You will have more choice about where to get your medicines from because they can be collected from a pharmacy near to where you live, work or shop.

You may not have to wait as long at the pharmacy as there will be time for your repeat prescriptions to be ready before you arrive.

Go to the NHS website for further information

Medication Reviews

We have a duty to review your health and medicines regularly. We will let you know if you need to make an appointment for a medication review with either our practice nurses or your doctor.

If you need urgent advice about your medication outside our surgery hours, please call NHS 111
